ÁNGEL ARCE / SANKA03 / THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORLDS
Hi, I'm Ángel.
You can call me Sanka.
I'm an illustrator and 3D artist from Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. I create expressive characters and personal worlds through illustration, digital sculpture and animation in virtual reality.
I grew up surrounded by comics. Their storytelling and sharp sense of humor still find their way into my work. I studied Design and Creative Technologies at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and started teaching myself 3D in 2021. Today, I move between 2D, VR and physical pieces, exploring what each medium can bring to a story.
My work has been exhibited in New York, Barcelona, Tokyo, Florence and Seville.
